Longer Light Fastness

If you were able to attend the AAC conference last year and saw the full presentation given by Kenji Hara one of the topics that he covered was light fastness. We studied at length some of the impacts on light fastness of organic dyes. One of the major contributors of fading is atmospheric oxidation of the dye inside the pore, not just due to UV light.

We have developed a protector that assists with protecting the dye from fading.   We would like to introduce a new product to market called TAC SUNBLOCK 88. It is a light fastness improver intended for organic dyes and can even improve known weak dyes like Vivid Pink (Xanthene Dye).  it is a short 1-3 minute dip prior to sealing. It aids in sealing the dye from atmospheric oxidation without changing the natural appearance of the dye or causing iridescence.

It can greatly improve the light fastness of certain dyes as can be seen below:

I think this is a great representation of the ability of TAC SUNBLOCK 88. The type of dye used will change how much performance can be seen from TAC SUNBLOCK 88 and you dyes may perform differently than ours.
