A Unique Coating for Unique Parts

As you read from our last post we learned a lot from you at the 2018 surface finishing show. One of the items that garnered a lot of interest is again a black coating. It was our Black Electroless Nickel. One of the darkest coatings we offer this can be used an nearly any plate able substrate with varying pre-plate process.

Nico Black MT-LFT is a black electroless nickel that can achieve a uniform black color. Unlike electrolytic coating this is not restricted by part geometry, blind holes, shielded areas or other road bumps that can cause issues with electrolytic processing. The standard process will be determined by the substrate but it can be plated on steel, magnesium, aluminum, and may other standard manufacturing materials.

Nico Black MT-LFT can offer a superior black finish when compared to other coatings that is uniform throughout the part.

Nico Black MT-LFT is a 2 step process that also requires a base nickel layer from a standard EN (mid phos is best for maximum brightness)
